Privacy notice

What archiveris.com collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.

This notice covers archiveris.com, the public website. It is published by ArchiVeris Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal office at 44 Bear Foot Road, Suite 200, Northborough, Massachusetts 01532, which decides how the limited information described below is handled.

It does not cover the Archiveris products. Signing in takes you to account.archiveris.com, and Jiwari, Kebiki and Teban are governed by the agreement under which you use them and by the privacy terms in it. Those handle customer data; this website does not.

01

What this site collects

Three things, and nothing else.

  • Aggregate page analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device, and does not follow you to other sites. What we can see is counts: how many people opened a page, roughly where in the world they were, and which link sent them. We cannot see who you are, and neither can we single you out from the numbers.
  • Server logs. The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub records the requests it serves, including the IP address they came from, in order to deliver the page and to defend the service against abuse. We do not have access to those logs and do not use them.
  • Anything you send us. There is no form on this site. Every contact route is an email link. If you write to us, we hold your message and your email address for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of the correspondence.

02

What it does not do

  • No cookies. This site sets none at all, which is why you were not asked to agree to any.
  • No advertising or profiling. No ad pixels, no retargeting, no social trackers, nothing that builds a profile of you.
  • No fonts or scripts from third parties beyond the analytics tag. The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font network, so loading a page does not announce your visit to anyone else.

The only request your browser makes to another company while reading this site is the analytics one. Because we do not track you across sites, a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing here to switch off — there is no cross-site tracking running in the first place.

03

How long it is kept

  • Analytics: aggregate counts, retained as a running record of how the site is read. They contain nothing about an individual.
  • Server logs: held by GitHub under its own retention policy, not ours.
  • Email: for as long as the conversation is live, and afterwards only where we need a record of what was agreed or discussed.

04

Who else sees it

Plausible Analytics, as the analytics provider. GitHub, as the host. Our email provider, in order to deliver and store mail. Nobody buys this information from us, because we do not sell it, and no part of it is used to train a model.

We operate from the United States, and the information described above is handled there. Where a provider moves it across a border, that is done under the safeguards the relevant law requires.

05

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. For this website that will almost always be an email exchange, because an email exchange is the only place your details can be. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Write to hello@archiveris.com and we will answer.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR: access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests. Our interests here are knowing whether the site works and keeping it available, neither of which requires identifying you. Write to the same address and we will answer within one month. You may also complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office — and you can do that without coming to us first.

06

Children

This is a site about enterprise software. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

07

Changes

If this notice changes we will change the effective date at the top. The site is published from a public build, so the text is versioned; if you need to know what it said on a particular date, ask.
